x-shaped left-side pass

·1 min

A regular left-side pass has a slot that looks like a line. This pattern has a slot that looks like an X.

  • Start in an Open position.
  • On 1, step towards 6:00 with left leg such that your left foot and frame point at 9:00. Bend your left should so your arm still points at 6:00. You do not want your left arm to stick out straight at 9:00.
  • On 2, step back towards 2:00 with the right leg to create texture.
  • On 3&4, do a do back triple with your frame moving along the 2:00 – 8:00 slot. On 4 your left foot and frame should be pointing at 8:00.
  • On 5&6 do a dramatic side check. Step toward 9:00 while angling your frame to point to 4:00. This will require you to move your right shoulder inwards towards 4:00 for dramatic effect. Straighten your left leg on the 5 while bending your right leg and twisting. As a rule of thumb, only one knee should be bent at a time.
